The USMC Enhanced Combat Helmet (ECH) exploits the latest lightweight material technology, Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) material to provide enhanced ballistic protection against select small arms and fragmentation, above what is currently provided by the Lightweight Helmet (LWH)/Advanced Combat Helmet (ACH).
